akari appears aloof and deadpan with a mischievous streak that comes out almost as soon as she begins to speak. she tends to come off as docile at first brush but in truth she simply prefers to reserve her energy for more important things.akari is very slow to warm up to people however once she does, she is loyal to a fault (and often to her detriment). Past the apathy she holds towards most things, when it involves her few special interests, she is obsessive and efficient. Once she latches onto a goal she would gladly destroy herself along with anything else that stands in her way to achieve it.whether or not she's a good person isn't something she cares much about either way.

Da CapoAkari was born and raised on the island of Koshu as a part of a local lord's private armed forces. Her family has served under the Iwasaki family for generations now and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. When she came of age, Akari was formally trained as a part of Lord Iwasaki's personal shadow guard and learned more secretive methods of defense and attack.While this position came with the honor of being in the lord's innermost circle, it also came with bearing the weight of his bloodier sins. During her time here Akari and her comrades did much of the dirty work the lord required of them.CrescendoAkari was completely fine with this until she made the fatal mistake of wanting more, of wanting what could never be hers to begin with. To make a long, scandalous story brief, she formed a very...intimate bond with Lord Iwasaki's wife. Once this was inevitably discovered the tenuous bonds formed in the depths of night evaporated in the stark light of day. She left the lord's estate shortly after.With all of the secrets and information she held, Akari was classified as a threat and "kindly invited" to take an especially potent cocktail of poisons before she was "escorted off the premises". This poison didn't kill her but did weaken her dramatically as well as shortened her lifespan by decades at the very least. Under the effects of this brew it didn't take long for Akari to fall into a river and drift off elsewhere.InterludeShe washed up in a no name town under the rule of a different lord and was taken in by a widow who found her comatose and more than halfway dead not too long after Akari washed up on the shore. It was in this town that she picked up the two most important things in her life: surgical skill and a burning passion for opera. Aside from clinging on to her small life, she spent her days here as an apprentice to the local doctor. Discovering opera and finding joy in the emotion conveyed through music helped her get through this period of time as well. (The realization that a production was made of her less than glorious expulsion from the Iwasaki estate, less so.)When she was roughly twenty six Akari said farewell to the place she washed up in and made her way to Kugane, the home of many prominent opera houses as well as potentially lucrative business opportunities. With the meager coin she has managed to scrape together since, Akari now runs an unscrupulous surgical practice out of a dingy back alley at the heart of Kugane. Presently most of her ill gotten funds go towards her support of the arts, keeping her practice afloat and (barely) keeping herself alive through costly medicines.DiminuendoTo most, she is a dubious surgeon and purveyor of the local black market organ trade. To those who have heard parts of her story and are in need of a particular set of skills, she is a hitman for hire. To performers of opera and live theater she is a generous, if not occasionally unsettling, patron.While she is on decent terms with many of the less savory forces of Kugane, Akari wasn't officially affiliated with any until recently. Presently, she's a fledgling member of the budding yakuza family,

Heya i'm cori and I like to draw and scream!!!!!!!!!I've been roleplaying on FFXIV on and off for about a year with close friends but I'd consider myself to be pretty new to roleplay in general! I'm open to RP both in game or on Discord - please feel free to hit me up for whatever whenever! ^^)9I wouldn't consider myself much of a writer however I do enjoy it!
